Tim Van Dijck

As the Managing Director of VLOOT, the maritime service provider for the Flemish government, I lead a dedicated team of 550 colleagues and manage a versatile fleet of over 45 vessels. Our operations encompass essential services such as pilotage, ferries, rescue operations, hydrography, scientific research, and more. With 17 years of experience in the marine and port operations sectors, I have honed my skills in project and program management, safety leadership, and the management of multicultural teams. I have a strong focus on strategic business leadership, corporate governance, and the mentoring of upcoming talent. Recently, I completed an Executive MBA at Antwerp Management School, further enhancing my expertise in business and management. My leadership approach is characterized by a commitment to innovation, collaboration, and a people-focused ethos, grounded in values of authenticity, integrity, and accountability. Outside of work, I am a dedicated father and husband, always striving to maintain a healthy balance between personal and professional life.
